Sunday Ramblings – Treats

LOUD KLAXON!! I’ve finally gotten my own copy of The Chalk Man by C. J. Tudor! The perfect Mother’s Day present from my kids (helped by my husband) so I look forward to delving in to this after I’ve finished my current read (which is “Who Needs Men Anyway?” by Victoria Cooke, loving it so far especially after a couple of uninspiring DNFs)

I had a delicious veggie breakfast, americano and a takeaway raspberry & chocolate brownie. Next time I want to try their avocado toast and breakfast cake (yes, breakfast cake, with fruit & yogurt!). The staff here are so friendly; they’d put tulips in displays on the table and the fire was crackling, wonderful. It’s really a lovely place to visit, close for walks and bike rides at Crich, Cromford or Matlock, and they are very walker/bike friendly. It is definitely a place worth visiting if you are in the area, we are really glad we stumbled across it a few weeks ago. This isn’t an ad, promise, I just genuinely love this place.
